The author
In 1963, Catherine Legrand participated in the founding of the Théâtre du Soleil as a graphic designer. A layout artist in New York and Paris from 1968 to 1974, she then became an independent textile designer. As a fashion designer, she created the brand À La Bonne Renommée and opened a boutique where her creations based on ethnic themes are displayed. During her many "textile travels", she passionately collected fabrics, costumes, ornaments and photos, which are gathered in this book.
