Lojan: The New Venture of Jan Louët and Loes van Aken

Many people wonder whether Lojan and Louët are the same company.
The answer is no. These are two separate businesses, although closely connected by family and craftsmanship.

Louët bv was founded in 1974 by Jan Louët and his former classmate Clemens. After five decades of innovation in the world of spinning and weaving, Jan Louët handed over the leadership of Louët to a new generation.

In 2023, at the age of 79, Jan Louët decided to start a new adventure and founded Lojan bv together with his daughter Loes van Aken, a mechanical engineer and product designer. Lojan is therefore a completely new company, independent of Louët, but built on the same passion, expertise and family spirit.
