Nicole Grenon, from Saint-Michel-de-Bellechasse, Quebec, developed an interest in weaving at an early age. It wasn't until 1983, however, that she began her apprenticeship: a hobby that soon turned into a true passion.
A member of the Groupe de Recherche en Tissage, and a teacher of both spinning and weaving, she has written four books to date.

Woven lace is a derivative of plain weave: it highlights an openwork pattern on a plain weave background. The effect is achieved by moving threads of varying lengths of warp and weft floats.
The Woven Lace category includes M'S & O'S, Canevas, Spot Bronson, Bronson lace, Huck lace, and Swedish lace.
Very similar and yet quite distinct, these laces are discussed in this book, along with their possibilities, their differences, their transformation, both on 4 and 8 frames.
It's the perfect way to make choices!
